Vihaan Jain Becomes First Indian Golfer To Win AJGA OakWing Tournament

Vihaan JainALEXANDRIA (Louisiana): Sixteen-year-old Indian golfer Vihaan Jain has won the 2026 AJGA (the American Junior Golf Association) Preview tournament held at OakWing Golf Club in Alexandria, Louisiana. He finished the event at four-under-par (212) on the 6,842-yard course, competing in challenging weather conditions. Saptak Talwar Wins Indorama Ventures Open

The victory marked Talwar’s second win on the PGTI, following his triumph at the Adani Invitational Golf Championship at his home course, Jaypee Greens in Greater Noida, last year.

He earned ₹43.2 lakh for this week’s win, and will now become a front runner for the top spot in the PGTI’s season-ending ranking which comes with full playing rights for the 2027 DP World (European) Tour.

Talwar spent last season on the European Challenge (HotelPlanner) Tour, making 15 cuts in 18 starts and will play the scheduled Challenge Tour event at ITC Classic, Gurgaon next week.

Inaugural DP World PGTI Open To Be Held at ITC Golf Club

GURUGRAM, March 18: HotelPlanner Tour and the DP World Professional Golf Tour of India (DP World PGTI), the official governing and sanctioning body of men’s professional golf in India, have jointly launched the DP World PGTI Open which is scheduled to be staged from March 19 to 22, at the Classic Golf and Country Club near Gurugram in Haryana, in the vicinity of Delhi.

The DP World PGTI Open, a HotelPlanner Tour and DP World PGTI co-sanctioned event, offers a total prize purse of US$300,000.

The tournament has a field of 150 players including 74 players from the HotelPlanner Tour. The event will be played in the stroke-play format consisting of four rounds of 18 holes each. The top 60 players and ties will make the cut after two rounds. The par for the course is 72.

The stellar field at the tournament will feature leading Indian professionals Yuvraj Sandhu, Veer Ahlawat, Om Prakash Chouhan, Manu Gandas, Shaurya Bhattacharya, Honey Baisoya and Angad Cheema, to name a few.

The leading names from the HotelPlanner Tour in the field include Englishman Will Enefer, South African MJ Daffue, Spaniard Pablo Ereno, Frenchman Maxence Giboudot and Finland’s Tapio Pulkkanen.

Fleetwood to defend DP World PGTI India Championship title at DGC from Oct 15

NEW DELHI, Mar 17: World Number Three Tommy Fleetwood will once again bring star power to the DP World India Championship, as he returns to defend his title at Delhi Golf Club from October 15 to 18 this year.

Fleetwood triumphed over a world-class field in the inaugural edition last season to claim his eighth DP World Tour title, and he will once again tee it up in the highly-anticipated $4,000,000 event.

The victory in Delhi last year was a key part of an incredible end to the season for Fleetwood, who also won the FedExCup on the PGA TOUR, and made his fourth appearance in the Ryder Cup, helping team Europe defeat the USA on away soil for the first time since 2012. He is also the Olympic silver medal winner.

Anshul Mishra wins Northern India IGU Championship

PANCHKULA: Kolkata golfer Anshul Mishra claimed the IGU Northern India Amateur Golf Championship 2026 title after a strong closing round at Panchkula Golf Club. Mishra carded rounds of 72-70-71-69 to finish at 6-under 282, sealing the victory with his best round of the week in the final round.
